Saw dog bite girl today.

So the little boy in TX that went into the fenced in backyard that was killed by 3 pit bulls, it's the kids fault.. If a kid jumped my fence and got into my dog yard, my GSD would kiss him and bring him his ball to play with..

Why own a dog that will maul and kill a child and does so on a weekly basis.. Makes no sense..

Sig you put yourself in a awkward spot defending a killing breed of dog that are mostly owned by losers..

Don稚 fool yourself with the breed! I can remember a time when there was a big problem with owners who trained thier German Shepard痴 inappropriately. When I was a child I was bitten badly by one and had many other run ins with others.
These days it痴 the Pitt bull that痴 not being handled properly.
Fortunately all the Pitt bull owners I know are good people who take the time to properly socialize and train thier dogs but I assure you if any of us didn稚 it wouldn稚 matter if it was my Shepard or thier Pitt bull because both would tear you apart.

Since we can't predict the behavior of humans, why are we able to predict the beghavior of aniamls. the answer is you can't. No matter how an animal is trained there is te possibility of it attcking humans.

I've been paid by the state to take care of animals to be put down for dog fighting, not on my property, but because I would deal with the animal at a designated location paid for by the state.

You guys can read it here, and it's the truth. A dog trained for dog fighting will be put down immediately if the dog even comes close to "snapping" at a human. A well trained fighting dog is butter with people, but around other dogs, it's a killing machine because that's what it is trained to do.

ANY living thing can go off the deep end for whatever reason. Any dog that has any size and strength is capable of the same issues with the same lethal possilibilties.

I didn't read the link you provided, but it's an easy assumption that people who should buy terrier breeds for "protection" most likely fall into the catagory of increaseing aggression of a dog that can hurt a human.

The issue isn't the breed, but the "intelligent" people who own the breed.

Bad mouth a breed a dog I've owned is no different that bad mouthing a race of humans IMO. I will resond in kind.

On both the OP's original threads, the issue is about a innocent girl who was hospitalized due to a dog attack, however the issue moves from the care of the girl and her well being to the breed of dog who attacked her (ironically enough, no pictures of the animal, so we just all assume it's a "pit bull" because that is what is writte by the OP). Not much difference than most news articles.

You have the same log in your eye if didn't notice per your writings on this forum.

Of course the owner is at fault most of the time otherwise we wouldn't be talking about this would we? Dogs don't train themselves nor do they let themselves run loose.. Where there is human interaction, there will be problems.. With some breeds there are more problems than others due to the humans that are attracted to them..

I noticed yesterday the trailer guy down the road that leaves his two pit bulls loose all the time now has a cane corso loose as well, hope they stay away.. Ticking time bomb..

Actually, when you read most of these types of threads, it's generally the consensus that it's the breeds fault.

At the dump today with trash. Big bald headed guy with overalls on with no shirt, had more hair on his body then his head, driving a extended bed F250 diesel. Had a huge terrier breed type dog (aka what every would call a pit bull) sitting in the passenger seat just wagging it's tail looking out the window.

I've learned a long time ago you can judge a man's character by where his dog rides in the truck with him.
