I bet you could trace a bunch of this stuff back to competitors. If you had the patent on CCA and could get Penta banned...what is the most likely replacement for CCA and who holds the patent?

Can\'t help wondering

if this is another case of the expiration of a patent? Naw, that can't be, I'm just paranoid.
Then again, DuPont's patents world wide ran out on Freon 12, and oddly, that stuff became hazardous to the atmousphere, and we all got raped on replacement refridgerant.
Now, treated lumber, with one preservative process is becoming extremely hazardous, odd nobody noticed all this arsenic poisioning before.

I don't remember the Penta thing. Is that the same as PBB? I remember my brother hired on the cow disposal team because they would hire him to run his machines and pay twice what he could make logging. That was back in the late 70's if I recall and the pay was extraordinary for a rural community. They even hired folks to crawl around in the pit and open the cows up to prevent gas build up. It's what we all feared when Bovine TB turned up. Another government grab of all the livestock.
