SC2400 PTO selector lever

Just finished installing the MM60RSE.

I have ever used the MM PTO before.

I tried to move the selector lever and it feels like it half way engages to the "both" setting, and won't budge any further towards the "Mid" setting.

I tried it both engine running and off. I did not try to switch it with PTO engaged

I checked the linkage and do not see any obvious binding.

Any ideas? Still in warranty but I'd like to avoid hauling it if I can.

Just went out and checked it again. It is NOT fully engaging the mid PTO when I push it towards "both". Mower deck spindle/belt is not moving at all.

If I apply pressure on the lever (pushing towards "both" and "mid" when PTO running it makes a terrible groaning/moaning sound.

Also, the lever/linkage are not binding at all.

Rear PTO functions just fine (all I've used past 4 years).

Thinking this is internal to the PTO housing.

I don't think in the 4 years I've owned this that I've ever even moved that PTO selector lever.

Please let me know if you'e experienced anything like this. I will be going to the dealer tomorrow.

I know when I put on my front mounted snowblower, I have to sometimes rotate the snowblower pto shaft a little to engage the mid-pto lever.

Rotated the MM PTO shaft just a little bit and the PTO selector lever moved forward and fully engages all positions now.

Just wanted to let you know this helped me out this morning. For the first time since I've owned the 2450 since it was new I had an issue switching to the MM PTO. Your solution solved the problem, thanks!
