Creekbend....Now after reading your posts here...my head really hurts....:D ---Maybe it is because everything we relate to has a beginning and an end.
I have always regarded your posts and threads as informative, interesting and educational. Here is some more Food for Thought? "A book tightly shut is but a block of paper"--ancient proverb. I have to go for now. My Son and I are taking our house dog on her evening Run. BTW, the seeking of knowledge is a never ending Quest that is indicative of Mankind.

The application of Unified and analytical Geometry and Physics will offer some insight in regards to your question. My Wife loves "THe Big Bang Theory", and loves the antics performed by the characters. I, myself, have never seen any mathematical or scientific theories proven on that "Comedy Show" that illustrate any significant displays regarding educational formats involving the advancement of Scientific or Mathematical hypotheses and theories. I haven't even heard it mentioned on that show that "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line". Even the average third grader is aware of this fact. If you find facts regarding the "Universe" complexing, here is a question that will certainly add to the confusion. If a Creator created the Universe, then where did the Creator come from? Who created the CREATOR? Food for thought? I didn't include any :D or  in my post, because I didn't deem them necessary as a requirement used for ridiculing.

"Big Bang Theory" was raved about by my BIL, he just went on and on and on about its erudition and wit and how with my physics and math background I would just love it so finally I watched an episode. Maybe it was the only less than magnificent episode ever aired but I thought it was juvenile junk, pornographic in that it was devoid of redeeming value. Maybe all the rest are wonderful but that one was a stupid useless waste of time. Three Stooges reruns would be more entertaining and probably more educational. Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck, wise guy huh?!!!

Two supposedly intelligent adults shouting at each other from a prepared script of a supposed candidate theatrical production.

EXACTLY. Where does the Creator sit? What "space" does the Creator occupy?

:D and  are emoticons meaning a grin and laughter. They are not used for ridicule.

The series has its good and bad episodes. They do seem to get the science correct and how they make funny jokes out of science is impressive. I read that they have a Professor from one of the CA Universities check the science part of the scripts.

The show, like so many other series today, has a bit too much adult content. It is interesting to watch The Dick Van Dyke show and compare it to Barney Miller, The Cosby Show, Everyone Loves Raymond, and say Big Bang Theory. The changes are not for the better.

Creekbend...What I mean when I posted - Your posts on this topic made my head hurt....is that the whole idea of the universe and what it encompasses is so mysterious that all scientists and humans best minds can do is guess...hypotheticate and surmise....So far no one can explain the concept of infinity , forever, where was the beginning and where is the end and if no end then what...The human mind will drive itself crazy trying to figure it out...and my emotion cons meant laughing ...nothing else and certainly not any ridicule.

I have the the answer as was given to me a long time ago...God created the Heavens and the Earth and I just have faith in that...:)

I was OK as a physics major (math minor) using infinity in math and physics on a regular, if not daily, basis. Half of the math is the value as something approaches infinity. Rays of light from infinite distances away arrive parallel to one another. ...and on and on and on till infinity, even an infinity of infinities, feels as common as mustard on a soft pretzel, its just 10 to the x power where x is ANY number and then someone with no regard for your comfort level comes along with an attempt to show the scale of things in our universe, not even approaching infinity in the large or small, and leaves you teetering on the brink, overloaded with input, trying to contemplate the unfathomable beyond our senses and reason, something we just can't properly appreciate...

It is like a test. If you are comfortable with the presentation then you don't get that you can't get it. I know I can't know so I look, get amazed again, and go on knowing I can't know. (Scientific/philosophical agnosticism)

Thanks so much for that post, very nice indeed.

I think the twins did a nice job on it. I will leave it to the rest of you to debate the creation...

Thanks for all the post's guys. Amazing is a pretty feeble word for me to use, but they were "amazing"
