Sheesh! I'll get there already! To do much of anything with a welder in my overstuffed garage I need to move a car out of the garage, setup some makeshift table and all that. Just need to find some time. And if it isn't working, I pretty much don't have any recourse anyways...

Get up early move stuff around set up the video camera on a tripod power up hit record make sparks post the video move stuff around and go back to bed what else could possibly matter???

I'm frustrated enough that I'm gonna go weld stuff just for the heck of it

My neighbors will understand after all the motor on the bluestar isn't that loud

OK, OK here ya go: It welds. I need to work on the adjustments a bit as I was having sticking problems, but I'll figure it out. Did simple F2 Tee welds. First the pretty one: 1/8" 6013 (105A, DC+)...

Then the not so pretty one 5/32" 6011 (130A, DC+). I was having problems getting a good arc established with this one until it heated up a bit. Need to play with the settings more I guess. I kept turning it up, so I was probably a bit cold. The restart with a new stick a third/halfway through was ugly:
