I am new to owning a tractor i have a Mitsubishi D2000 how fast do most people operate it with a 4 ft box in the rear..i know tractor work is slow and go just don't want to go to fast and ruin anything

I would start pretty slow and let experience be your guide as to how much you can speed up. My experience has been box blade work is always on the slow side, especially when you have the rippers down max.

Depends on what your are doing with the box blade... cutting the final grading with the front bade, real slow. Tearing things up to be rearranged the dirt with the Rippers down, kind of slow then Bam - dead stop :rolleyes: Smoothing out gravel with the back edge, faster. Nothing is really fast on a tractor :D

Start slow, listen to the engine (lugging) and watch what the box blade is doing. Adjust speed accordingly.

Most 4-ft BBs are too lightweight to work effectively. You'll probably need to add weight to get good results. The photo shows a 4-ft KK BB on the back of my 21-hp (engine) Kubota B7510HST. I use three 120-lb concrete weights to get the BB working better.
