Remember the Chrysler turbine cars in the 60's? Chrysler built 50 of them. When the program ended, they gave 6 to museums, 3 remained in private hands, and they scrapped the rest. Here's a video I ran across showing them scrapping them. Sad bit of history there...

That is neat. A few lake boats were built as turbine back in so, so time but most if not all, were subsequently switched to diesel engines. I wonder why. :unsure:

I'd rather have the Dodge tractor pulling the car trailer myself. That is a real classic.

My friend's uncle had one. He gave us a ride. The turbine whine was loud and the car was fast.
