Here's a short video on the grapple I just built, nearly all from the scrap metal pile. Scrapple? The tines are made from worn down scraper blades, the cylinder is a top link cylinder I was not using. I only had to buy $5 worth of fittings to get this project working. Doug

I like it. As far as bang for your buck it can't be beat. I love scrap projects. Nice work.

Darn I thought this was about food, I love me some Scrapple!

Of course if your not from the mid-Atlantic region you probably have no idea what I'm talking about.

Nice work. I too like scrap projects.

Ken, I'm not sure I want to know what food is referred to as "scrapple".

Nice job and good use of resources.
Humbly suggest adding grease zerk fittings to your hinges will make them last a lot longer and operate quieter

I used to love fried scrapple ( with ketchup) for breakfast...before I learned what it's made from...!

I thought it was a "PA Dutch" thing...?

Grease fitting is clearly visible in hinge foto above.

Nice work...

I am also a big fan of recycling any old material i can salvage.

My wife wanted to throw away an old bed frame left by former tenants in our rental... No way, theres good angle iron there! I'll trim the ends, and stash it in my steel pile...

I think some of those bed frame angles are hardened too.

Obviously not "clearly" or I wouldn't have stated that. In photo above, it's difficult to tell and looks like a spot weld more than a fitting to me, but thanks for your help in pointing it out.
