Kubota BX 2660 & BX-23
I bought my 2660 in late nov ealry Dec. All good with the application. Substantial dp but a significant amount on the 0% also. All's good. I wait for a package with my payment book etc and don't get a thing from them, until the phone rings telling me I am 42 days late and they get more than a little aggressive...which turned me into my "other self" if you know what I mean. I get it straightened out and auto pay is set up. I figured it was an abberation until I was wearing my Kubota hat and a friend of mine asked what Kubota I had. Turns out we both have 2660's but he had about the same thing happen. The first communication he had from them after the purchase was 31 days in when they told him his payment was due. He asked when and they replied yesterday.

Perhaps I am old fashioned about these things, but it would seem to be good practice to not alienate your new customers right out of the chute. Anyone else see this? I'm going to have a credit report run and if they dinged me, well, I'll deal with that too!

When Kubota gets busy they do get behind on sending out the paperwork. Thats why your first payment coupon is attached at the end of your financing contracts. That gives them basicly 6 weeks to get the coupon books and everything out to you. That should have been explained to you, I take it that did not happen.

Messick is right on about that, when I purchased my new B3200, my dealer,(Emerich) explained that to me.

I think if i hadn't received a bill i would have called the dealer at the least. it's not like you didn't know it was due.

also be thankfull that they at least called and not put you into collections:eek:

yup- When I bought my bota, the first coupon for first payment was attached to the paperwork and my dealer pointed it out to me. I was about to use it, but the payment booklet came in just in time for first payment.

It takes light delicate steps on both sides of the party to resolve the issue before things get heated. sorry anhc- I take it you were caught off gaurd, perhaps you missed the coupon in the pile of papers you have for the bota ?

That's just what happened to me. The payment booklet came in time, but of course that was in 1999.

And way back there, many, many years ago, I bought an "entertainment" center from Sears on their time pay plan and asked the salesman when the first payment would be due and he said I'd get a book of payment coupons in the mail. Sure enough the payment booklet, and a nasty letter for being late paying, arrived in the mail on the same day. I sent a letter along with the payment, and I did get a letter of apology from Sears.

So Kubota credit isn't the only one to get behind.

Out of 10 times using their financing I've never had an issue. I "think" I get a letter that tells me when it's going to be subtracted from my account and a payment book that tells when the first payment is due. If the going to be taken out date is later than the due date I send a check with first book payment page. I think what I recieve in the mail(the letter) tells me to do that. They come seperate, the letter telling date from checking account and book with payment pages so obviously handled by 2 different departments in their company. Don't remember dealer ever giving me anything other than contracts and owners books come with tractor delivery. Oh Yah! Hats.!

I look at the due date (the same time each month) and back it up 5 days. That's the day I mail in the payment. In addition, you can set it up so that Kubota will email a payment reminder BEFORE the payment is due. It's kind of a failsafe program for me--you know, age related memory loss!

was warned about coupon book problems and the like . . . on both my kubota purchases, from my dealer.
my solution, is to pay my monthly bill on the internet. kubotacreditusa is linked on the kubota websight.
