seafoam

This thread had me going to the garage shelf where my various fluids live and getting down a can of Seafoam that had been sitting there since last summer. 1/3 into my 455 and 2/3 into my wife's 1976 Corvette, which see's very little use. Took the Corvette out for a spin and I swear it had less hesitation and more pickup. Obviously, Seafoam works wonders on the imagination as well

Yeah I suspect if you ride the mower around then get in the Corvette for a spin the "results" might seem surprizing.:D

Seafoam, the Other white meat...really helps some engines clean up. It is pricy, but can buy 3 for the price of two at oreilleys...I hope it is preventing problems on our direct inj. car engine?

I have used it to resurrect weed wackers and leaf blowers that would barely run on the choke.....put a strong dose in the gas tank, start it up and let it run for 5-10 minutes. Then let it soak overnight and run it again...usually cleans the carb gunk right out. One of the few products that actually does what it says it will do......

I don't know about the preaching, but I have an old Mc Cullogh mac 60s that is about 15 to 20 years old and sat in my barn for about 8 years when it got had to start. Bought poulan wild thing to replace it. After hearing about Seafoam I got the old Mc Cullogh out and the oil and gas tanks were empty. I poured about 3 tablespoonsful of seafoam in the gas tank put the chock on and pulled the starter rope a round 3 or 4 times. Let it sit over night, next morning filled it with fresh gas and started it up. Have been using it all summer cutting fire wood. Since then have used it in every motor that I own. Wouldn't be without it.

I had a lot of problems with a small outboard last year and my mechanic recommended seafoam. I sprayed it in the carb and it really cleaned it out. I started running it through the tank after that and it cleaned the tank and lines so well that it plugged up the new filter! Must be a helluva solvent.

I have used it as fuel supplement, a carburator cleaner, crankcase cleaner, fuel winterizer, and bore cleaner for my guns. Love this stuff!

I bought a new like Honda EU3000i generator off craigslist that had a surge. Owner had left gas in for 18 months without use. I got a good price, put some Lucas fuel treatment and SeaFoam in tank, ran the full tank through it. No more surging.

I've used it for years in outboards and lawn equipment. It really helps out with the ethanol issues. I have also poured it slowly into a carb or into a vacuum line to clean the intake manifolds and carbon from top of pistons. Get ALOT if white smoke while its being poured or sucked in. Engines run great after using it.

Seafoam helped unstick the valves on my Dixon ZTR earlier this year.
