Had this posted in the JD section for a while with no luck. Hopefully here I will have more luck as I have had no replies from the green guys. A friend of mine has a JD 4115 HST with 800 hrs. I am an orange guy so not familiar with his tractor. The shaft that comes out of the trans on the right side that runs the HST keeps leaking. There are 2 O rings, an inner and outer on the shaft which he has replaced multiple times with no luck. It starts to leak shortly after replacement. The shaft coming out has no imperfections but there is some play where the shaft comes through in what I am assuming is a bushing. It doesnt look like you could replace the bushing without splitting the tractor. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It sounds like the play in the shaft is an indication of a internal problem. Looks like your friend is going to need to split it to find out why there is enough play in the shaft to cause the leak.

I finally did find a parts blow up of the shaft. There is a bushing that the shaft goes through. Think it is possible that the bushing is just wore?
