Many years ago, we used to do something similar, but as people grew and moved away, the only ones left to do it were my in-laws and my wife and I. I was the only one that wanted to keep doing it, but it's not nearly as much fun when you do it alone! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

And then, of course, the tree you picked out is all wrong. Never mind that you were all alone to pick it out! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif That was the year that we ended up getting our first artificial tree. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif As much as I like the convenience of the artificial, I do miss the real tree.

Boy I have to find a tree farm like that. At ours we show up get a plastic sled and a saw. Then away you go!!!! It's getting to be more fun every year as the boys are getting older now. 6 and 2. You should see people laugh when they see us. The boys in the sled in one hand and the tree in the other.!!!!!!! Make a man huff and puff! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Still one of the best things ever.

We used to have trees, but the dogs kept peeing on it! So now I hang a 20mm shell casing from a maple tree outside. We call it "A Cartridge in a Bare Tree."
