Am I the only big butt that owns a 4310? I will admit that with 37 hours on my eHydro, and reading the safety forum religiously, I finally decided to raise the ROPS and begin using the seat belt.

Butt, then I discover that the belt is 4 inches too short. Does JD make an extension or should I call Jenny Craig?

Love TBN.

Thanks all.

For your continued good health, call JD first and see if they offer a belt extension..... for continuing your life expectancy into old age, call Jenny second. Let us know how you make out on both. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

HeyNow - When I first started investigating the 4310 I recall another owner making a similar complaint about the belt... one other option you might consider... get a larger chassis tractor - bigger tractor may = bigger belt /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh yeah - and I'll take that old 4310 off your hands... the belt fits me just fine /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

All kidding aside - I think the belt is a little short as well - I'm not large in height or weight, but I don't find there is a lot of belt left over when I pull it out and buckle up. I'm really curious to know how you make out with this issue. Maybe Deere is telling everyone to loose weight - if the tractor came with a Richard Simmons video I surely would have gone with a Bota! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll have to look and see if the belt is attached to the seat or the tractor - wondering if you moved the seat back would it allow the belt more effective travel???

Good Luck

I don't think anything could make me give up my 4310! My GMC Sierra Diesel has plenty of seat belt for me. I'm 6'2" 280. I'm not fat, I'm big boned...:) I've not moved the seat at all since I got the machine last November. Maybe I'll give that a try.

Perhaps when I fly next week, I'll borrow one of the seat belt extenders that the airlines offer. I've never had to use one, but who knows. Thanks for your responses.

That was going to be my next suggestion.. a seatbelt extender.

/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifi had a similar problem with the belt and discussed it with the dealer before purchase, they ended up moving the mounting point of the belt for me and it works fine now /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Update; The seatbelt fits nicely now. I lost 60 pounds and have kept it off for over a year . /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
