For those who don't mind a patch so save a few bucks a tube of shoe goo type vinyl glue and a vinyl patch will give you a no. of more years out of a seat before it comes apart. I've done this in the past on a tractor seat as well as a motor cycle seat just as they show signs of cracking. I never did have to replace the seat on either before selling them many years later.

While I'm at it here's a fix I did on a wk. end to finish a job when the fitting blew out of the cylinder that had never been threaded properly to begin with. Pipe thread into m on the cylinder and metric on the ROB into pipe .
I've now redone it with a solid 90 1/4" pipe thread into the cylinder and no. 5 other end for the hose.

This cylinder was a reject from the start after replacing 2 pistons I looked in the cylinder and ended up honing it with a break hone because the weld they did for the fitting had a jagged surface inside.
