yes, I've seen these postings on using an X series seat. I just don't know why Deere decided to use those hard rubber things they laughingly refer to as "springs". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

hi there. yes, you can use the X series seat and make the conversion. it works great. the standard seat on the 2210 is awful. get an X series seat and you can install yourself. you might have a problem fitting the bolts, but should be able to adapt with no problem. I think there are some photos of conversions on this web site. try searching and you should find what you want. I put an X on my 2210; took an afternoon, mainly just getting things lined up. made a huge difference.

I did the x seat conversion about a year ago and posted pictures, I believe they are still here. The difference in comfort is night an day!!!
