Seat switch disable?

Yeah- safety is important, but we all survived before all these measures were implemented. I'll figure the seat thing out without the (lack of) help from others.

If you ain't bright enough to set the parking brake, you probably need all the safety switches you can get.

For a GT2500 series you just unplug the switch under the seat. Allows you to get up and check the gas and pick up sticks ect. As well as wash the deck as you wanted.

I bought an aftermarket seat so I camped the button down with wire ties. Has held for 4 years

Or you just don't like the extra work of setting it. I partially disabled the switch on a LT1050. It had 2 wires that it used. One was to shut the engine off if you got off without putting the brake on. The other shut the deck off if you got off with the deck on. I disabled the engine shutdown switch and left the deck shutdown switch enabled as I would prefer not to lose my foot if I were to fall off.
