Dug 6 holes today for trees to be delivered tomorrow (Tue). Got to play with my favorite tractor accessory, the back hoe. I LOVE digging with that thing! Attached are a few pics my brother took.

Some is being saved to make a few raised beds, the rest (much more than pictured there, that's just what was left over from building the pole barn) will end up as mulch.

As they always say when planting a tree, "If you have a $10 tree dig a $100 hole".

It's a nice feeling to have a machine dig your holes for you. Kind of hard to explain, but the first time I did it, I was totally amazed!!!

Three trees are in, & the 4th is mostly in. Two more to go. Had to stop to rehydrate. This would be SO much easier if I had some help... At least the tractor can do the heavy lifting & keeping the trees upright when they want to fall over!

It's done (thank goodness)! Six trees in the ground, & it only took me around an hour a piece to get them in & back filled. I'm a hurtin' pup... If it wasn't for the tractor, this would have been a job for three men & a boy!
