Comparison Seating

   / Seating #11
The economy kubota seats aren’t great but the better ones are fine. I see you have a M59 which has the better one. What do you dislike about that seat?
The slippery seat is sloped forward and has 3/4" suspension travel. If I'm not wearing a seatbelt every bump means I bottom out on the suspension, crunch my spine, then slide off the front.

I have a cab now so one day I'll splurge on a Grammar cloth seat with an air ride suspension.

You won't have an issue with the height difference. I've been teaching my son (10) and daughter (14) how to drive the tractor and they can reach the pedals just fine. My son isn't even 5' yet and my daughter is only 5'2". My seat does move forward though and my son has to reach a bit for the clutch pedal due to the throw, but the brakes and go pedals are easy for him.

Comfort is a relative thing. I'm 5' 10" and 220. My seat is adjusted to NOT bottom out on the most severe bumps on my property. The longest time I spend in the seat - around 4 hours. And that is rare. Normally - I'm up and out of my seat about every 20 to 30 minuets. This will make a difference.

My M6040 is open station with a canopy. I find my OEM Kubota seat to be perfectly fine - for me.
