Second lamb of the year

Marmalade was born today at 10:30am. Perfect timing, but a difficult delivery with the rear feet presenting first. Things went pretty well till the hips came out and mom stopped pushing. A couple of seconds later baby started kicking which made the poor ewe freak out! She ran around in circles so fast the lamb was expelled by centrifugal force and bounced off the wall before landing in a pile of straw! No lasting harm done, though there's a nasty scrape over the left eye. Mom and baby are doing fine.

And pretty soon Weasley gets a playmate!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Pete

Pete ... that's a good bit-o-news. My chieftress wants to get the pygmy goats reproducing.

I have to keep reminding her of the truth, she (the wife) could never deal with the mortality rate.
