Second rear remote crossover

Yes. The first rear remote vakve has a dble acting lever(center closed). The second rear remote is stacked on the first valve( i guess this is parallel). The second valve that i installed drips at the quick connects up front. It is as if it is getting fed pressure even though it is not being used. I figured the quick connects should hold back any fluid. Maybe they are not designed to get pressure when disconnected? Maybe something is in the valve keeping it from getting a good seal feeding some pressure up front? I ordered a pressure guage to see if pressure is building when the lever is in center/off.

I'm far from an expert...but unless there is a demand there should be no pressure at the work ports (if the valve is not actuated)...the fluid should be returning to the tank...

Why only one hose for the left remote?

I am thinking he has a backhoe, that gets its flow from the one remote, and dumps back into the tank instead of the return remote, for less flow restriction? Just a guess.. Or maybe he has a dump trailer with a single acting cylinder.

Where are the dripping fittings from? They should not be leaking from the ball even if they have pressure behind them.

It might have both system.

All valves have a little leakage. That said the quick connects should not leak. One of my Chinese quick connects (the male one) up front leaked. I Replaced it with a Parker brand and it don't leak any more. It would drip all the time about one drip per minute without being hooked up or in use. Bottom line is your quick connects leak and so does the replacement one. Now there might be a tiny oily amount now accumulate over time, and I would consider that normal. But a drip a minute is not normal. And replacement of the quick connect solved the problem.
The fittings came from discount hyd hose. Maybe I will check tractor supply and see what fittings they have. Probably chinese junk also. Once i get the guage i will do a hydraulic check to see if pressure is building st the coupler. The backhoe goes directlly to the sump on the return to keep the fluid cooler.

Come to think of it, they were Pioneer from TSC. It was more expensive, but it did not leak.

Is your backhoe frame mount or 3pt.?
