We bought our daughter a fancy dancy baby monitor when she had our first grandchild--audio, video and night vision--spare no expense!!! Imagine her surprise and our dismay when her neighbor informed her he was watching her breast feed in the middle if the night. Made her a little hesitant to use the thing, to say the least. The manufacturer was no help when we explained the problem. Nice $300 decoration in the nursery.

That has been on the news/expose shows. The slick mod is a directional antenna made from a foil/mylar lined potato chip can that really improves the reception range. People cruise around in vehicles looking for the signals from these camera systems that transmit 24/7, then park and watch.

Same reason why you should never conduct business with banks and credit card companies over a cordless or cellular telephone. The airwaves are free, so be carefull what you put out there on them...
