For the first time ever, when viewing a page on TBN, a security warning pop up appeared. I close the program and it happened again. It only happens on the Customization Forum, and only on page 5. The last post before page 5 is by "JoeL4330" and the first line of the post is "Compacting ground comes from too high psi on the ground ...". I am providing this information so the problem can be isolated to exactly where it is. This is the strangest thing that I have ever happen on TBN. Is it my computer or has someone embedded something into a post? Where are the TBN Police when you need them???? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It would be interesting if others were to go to the Customization Forum and click on the thread "Front mounted V-Plow and Dual Rear Snowblowers" and then go to the last page and see if I am the only one getting this or are others also.... I choose not to say yes to the certificate and just closed that browser page and started over....

I got the same message yesterday on the double snow-plow thread. I haven't opened it again, and will not open that thread in the future.

I just answered "no" five times and it went away. No warnings from Norton Personal Firewall or Norton Antivirus.

Yep, I get it also.

For some reason I can't paste my warning here. Mine is a bit different but I am using Mozilla instead of IE

Hi,

The invalid security certificate is being triggered by the post here:

Sorry about the lack of posts, but other, more pertinent, projects came up that took me away from this one. But I'm at the point now of having my design finalized, and will be making a presentation soon to see if we want to move forward with the idea. At this point, I don't have a design you could build the machine with, just an idea fully thought out..."

He has put links in his message to photos that are hosted on a secure server (not on TBN). His hosting computer for the images is apparently somewhere in Canada. Probably no harm in accepting the certificate, if you want o see the images.

Otherwise, just click "No" until it quits popping up. Nothing we can do except delete the post, and there is no real reason to do so. IWO, it's harmless, no big deal.

University of Waterloo in Ontario.

The links were actually inline images, so whenever someone either looked at the specific message or opened the thread, they were going to get the security certificate message.

I changed the inline images to links....problem solved. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

People will still get the security pop up warning, but now it will only happen when they click on the link. I posted this same explanation in the thread.

Hi Mike,

Thanks!. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For the future, you can quickly locate potential security issues by doing a right click and select "view source" on the page, then search for "https", which will locate any page being called that has a secuirty certificate.

Also, if there are the little box with a red "X", (as there was in this case) it usually means there is an image that is not loading.

Thanks much for resolving this issue.
