Hi all,
Temptation!
I own a 2005 BX2230 with FEL, 152 hours. $5,500 still owed, payments are $250/month, 23 months left at 4.99% interest ($270 interest left to pay +/-)
I can trade it in and purchase a new B7510 with FEL for a net financed amount of $10,300, 0% for 42 months with the same payment of $250.
I can have a brand-new larger tractor with the same payment, using the same implements I already have. The difference is an extra 19 months of payments.
Most of my tractor time for the next 5 years or more will be moving lots of dirt and gravel combined with 4 acres of field mowing. After that it will be driveway grading and field mowing. Clearance is important, although I'm not sure it would keep me from getting stuck.
I'm really looking forward to owning my BX free-and-clear in a couple years, but that new B-Series with the larger FEL capacity is looking good.
Good idea or bad?
Greg
