Selling a patent

Are there any specific patent leasing agencies you suggest working with or not working with?

Things have changed a lot since 2008. Therefore, you need to seek out a good firm. One hint, if their English is poor, walk-away or hang up! Check their references too. Even tough I've been through this a few times, it's been nearly a decade. The older you get, the wiser you become. Let the young chase after their vision (ideas) and us older folks just dream of dreams (what could have been). LOL

Unless things have changed over the last couple of decades it was a well know fact that only 3 or less % of PATENTED inventions ever made money for the individual inventor. Combine that reality with the fake promises made by invention promotional outfits the individual inventor will have an uphill struggle to get any money from his idea. If he decides to go through with the patenting process of his idea (re a Utility patent) then he should be prepared to invest many thousands of dollars in that process alone.
One word of advice if you have an idea that you plan to patent ... you need to step back and take time to look at any and all obvious and less obvious variations that might result from your original idea. And, if possible, have them included in your application. But I believe adding additional variations on the idea is less acceptable now than in the past so you will be faced with paying for another patent(s) or just keeping the extra ideas to yourself.

The OP has stated they have a patent already. Now either they need to market it or sell it off to some company that finds value in it.
