Nothing spectacular and no compass rose where Buckeye can spot me from space. However in buckeye's pic you can see the house. Regular yard, just one battery with my EGO mower takes care of the yard the back yard has a view of the golf course and wooded creek beyond. Back yard faces in a NE direction so in the evening its all shade from the house. The neighborhood has a ton of amenities and activities and clubs, plenty to do. It's a golf cart community over 55 so very quiet. The people out here are different than the standard neighborhoods. It's like a small town, everyone waves and stops to chat.
One of the last fire calls in Lee County was a heart attack and were were request to help land StarFlight in the field next to the house. I got there as fast as I could but the helicopter had already landed and they were starting to load the patient. As I talked to the sister there, the patient was conscious but was unconscious while being transported to the helicopter. There were no delays everything went smooth and as fast as possible. From the time the ambulance was called to arrival at the ER was 2 hours. Patient died the next day never regained consciousness. This one incident did not change my mind about living in a remote rural area I had been downsizing for over a year, it just kind of reinforced my decision. There are definite advantages and disadvantages for living in either place, depending on which stage of life you are in and how much you plan on depending on other people. What is kind of funny is that the people in the neighborhood think there is nothing for people to do in the country and the people in the country think there is nothing to do in the city.
