Before I hook anything up I always spray the inside of the yoke as well as the PTO stub with Deere spray lube and have never had a problem since I started doing it. The Deere lube oil spray has a long "straw" with it and I can get the oil just where I want it. No probs. Ialso slide a rubber end cap over a lubed PTO stub when it's not on an implement and that keeps the dirt off of it.
