You can also Y into the existing line from house to septic if the layout works. Probably works against you for elevation though. To answer your original question, if you open the tank and look at liquid level, that's probably about 4-6" below bottom of inlet pipe. You can shoot a grade off that pretty easy and use it to figure out if you're in the ballpark.
