I posted a couple days ago about how I had adapted some Ford wheel weights to my Yanmar wheels. Because of the conical shape of the weights and the conical depressions in the wheels it looked like the weights would nest in the wheels with a little clearance. Because of the difference in the angles the weights would not sit against the flat face of the wheels at the bottom of the depression. So I made spacers. I measured a few times and came up with a dimension that I thought would space the weights out far enough that the weights would only contact the spacers. My dimension was off a little bit, the spacers should have been a little thicker. Except, now the weights contact the spacers and the wheel. The wheel contact is at the large diameter of the depression. I was concerned that the weights might want to shift a little as I used the tractor but with the way things turned out they fit snugly and won't tend to move and wallow out the holes in the wheels that the studs go through. Sometimes luck goes the right way.
