My son grabbed this shot on our way to a campout this weekend. A bit of backstory...

Cass County, Michigan is a big hog production area. Lots of grain too, corn and soybean. The two go together nicely as the grains feed the hogs and, well the hogs feed the grains. This monster machine chisels liquid manure into the ground. It's huge, you can get a feel for the scale by comparing tire sizes. The manure is brought to the fields in semi-truck tankers, there were a couple lined up as this guy was working the field. A bit smelly but our camp was upwind!

Enjoy that next BLT sandwich, it may have come from our area!

dont know how common they are in your area but there are 4 of 5 of those in my area. Common for the guys that run part confinement part row crop. they usually keep half the grain for the confinement operation and sell the other half.

Good Mornin Rob,
Allways enjoy a good shot of a honey wagon, even if its the modern type ! ;) We go by a number of farms with the large manure pits in the ground on the way up to our Vt property, Kathleen allways asks whats that smell, I just smile ! :)
