One thing, at least with PennDOT, they are big on training. Constantly. Their regular operators should know what they are doing. Seasonal guys, maybe not so much.

One thing, at least with PennDOT, they are big on training. Constantly. Their regular operators should know what they are doing. Seasonal guys, maybe not so much.
Mainly on 80 and 81. I saw them testing them last winter on 15 near Harrisburg -- pretty neat to watch. They ran 2 or 3 of them last winter but just bought something like 6 more for this winter.
A guy I know drives for PennDOT and went for training on them last month (out in the midwest) but I haven't talked to him since he got back. I can't wait to see what he has to say about them.

I expect you'll see these on the PA Turnpike initially...and in the NW PA routes (90, for example)
