Interesting! The large bolt that tensioned the hub to the axle used a coil spring between the bolt head and the hub on my 1994 B7100. Sorry! I thought that was the norm for all 7100's. I no longer own it as it was sold to update to the B2400,but as I recall the owners manual even showed the spring being there. Again, Sorry Egon, didn't mean to mislead you!!!

does anyone know if they make a power steering replacement or conversion for the b 7100

Unfortunately they do not make a power steering unit for the B7100. If the did I would have kept mine instead of buying the B7510.

To my knowledge that was the only drawback to the B7100. The axle bolt issue is curable. The PS issue isn't.

You know what they say about duct tape. (Nice version for TBN) If you can't duct it, don't even mess with it! I had to modify the original saying when I was over at my parents house rigging a vacuum cleaner for mom!
