The dealer picked up my bota for its 50 hour yesterday. There were some other problems I wanted him to look at, too. A couple weeks ago I couldn't get the bucket into the downward float position. They came out, sprayed a little PB Blaster up into the joystick linkage and that lasted about a week. Then, two days ago I couldn't get the bucket to tilt down. Again, there is a float position for this so you can drop a load faster. I had never used it so maybe that contributed to the joystick freezing up again, but in this case I couldn't even tilt the bucket.
They are going to check into that loss of power thing too. The one where the engine bogs down from a high rpm when travelling in high range with no apparent load change, such as starting up a hill. It's almost like a fuel filter is clogged and backing off on the HST pedal picks the rpms back up again.
It also would not move forward the other day after warming up. I could get it to move slightly (not much room) in reverse, but forward was almost like it was frozen to the ground. I even looked at the tires to see if there was a flat spot /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Anyway, I hope they find something wrong with the power losses because I don't want them to be a reoccurring, nagging problem and wouldn't you know... there's a little snow that could used plowed this morning /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

When going up a hill there is a load change, a load on the hydro. I'm not sure I understand that part. The farther the pedal is pushed the less power tranmitted to the gound (tourqe). When going up a slope with the pedal down it's like driving in a higher gear, you will lose RPMs depending on the incline..... You back of the pedal and RPMs are back, this seems normal to me.

I was told when he brought the tractor back that it IS normal... for a L3130. Seems that high range is only good for perfectly level travelling when the pedal is to the metal. He said that the 3130 is underpowered for its size and I would be better off keeping it in middle range if I expected going up even a slight incline.

The joystick valves had all kinds of frozen moisture in them that had formed into chunks of ice. Never had that problem with my 7500 and it sat outside in the winter, but maybe the valves had moisture iin them to begin with.

Anyway, I'm back in business and had a little more snow to clean up when he brought it back.
