servicing a 1550 slt

hey guys!,

As most of us know the mowing season is fast approaching us. so im going to service my mower prior to the season so that away shes in tip top shape come mowing season

heres my question(s)

are theyre any other grease fittings on this mower besides the two on the spindles?

will a wix 51348 oil filter work on the 25hp kohler courage? 10w30 motor oil or w40????

what else should i do? is theyre a hydrolic filter i need to change?

should i change the rear gear oil?

do you have a owners manual? Your front wheels will each have a fitting also the axles will have a fitting.your deck wheels will each have a fitting.all your deck spindles will have a fitting.From manual(Lubricate all the pivot points on the drive system,parking brake and linkage at least once
a season with light oil)I do this alot more.Manual says lube every 25hours but i do this more to.
Use a good 10w30 oil.Your transmission is sealed so you will not be changing that or a filter.
Make sure you keep your air filter clean manual says clean and re-oil foam precleaner every 25 hours.I do this more like in the summer when it gets dry a dusty.Be careful when you shout the air filter hatch it can catch the foam filter and push it down.
If you have a manual i would look at it.Its not a tell all but a good start.If not and you got your slt from a dealer they can get you one.If not their are site you can down load it.
