Several months ago I rolled my tractor over and by the grace of God survived. Ended up having to buy a kubota mx5100 as a result. I would like to set rear tires to maximum width to hopefully prevent it from happening again. Tractor has loader which should help and will load rear tires once set to maximum width. Would appreciate your instructions on how to accomplish this.

I don't know about the M series. My L series Kubota has two piece rear rims. I think three bolts hold the center to the rim itself. There are three different widths available as options. Look at your rear rims.

Consider adding wheel spacers to further widen the stance. BroTek's go on easy, and are well made.

You should be able to find the instructions in your owner's manual. it will show you the acceptable settings. Are the tires on your new tractor loaded? I've been resisting doing mine for 20 years but I may become a convert.

Model not supported.
I would call them and double check. My LS wasn't officially supported, but I called them and they were able to make it work.

Depending on the wheels you have... Looks like the wheel is a two piece system. Remove the wheel from tractor. Dismount the center dish and remount to place the tire at your desired spacing. You might have to reverse the dish and swap tires side to side to maintain the correct tread direction. Wheels from the factory are usually set narrow to ease transportation.

Moved my rear tire center line from 60 inches to 68 inches. That 8 inch doesn't seem much difference but...I can vouch that the few inches difference makes a tremendous improvement in stability.

Watching a video of man widening his rears on a kubota. In this screen shot he has both tires off and back is up on a single bottle jack with nothing under either axle to support in case something bad happens. And then his toddler comes walking into view and walks up to the suspended rear. No sense of urgency in the father trying to get the toddler away from the tractor. WTF is wrong with folks now days!? Don't you know accidents can happen any time? Screenshot_20191223-020741_YouTube.jpeg

Hello budepps3760, an alternative is to use dual rear wheels. MASSIVE increase in stability. The main draw back is the price of a 2nd set of rear tyres. Be choosy about which dual system you use as some are better than others. Idealy you want a quick release type, especially if you are going to mow hay or plough, and need to drop the outside right tyre.
I recommend you use a tyre with a 45 degree tread bar angle as these stick to hillsides best.
Duals will widen you to approx 9"6' to 10"6'depending on outside tyre size.
How wide are your gates?
I also advise a 4' gap between duals to allow mud to drop out. Narrower and the mud is retained.

My MX5800 is about 2 years old - I had the dealership dish the wheels out to the widest width. The rims are 2 piece. I have 3 sets of Kubota wheel weights. I'm glad I had the dealership do it - after watching it be done.
