SGT 60 " Mower Deck Adjustment and removal

i havent seen one of these decks in person uet with the shields on. just figured using a cherry picker to pick up the front of the tractor would give enough clearence to keep the casters on the deck and make it easier to move.

i just picked one of these up for my 2072. i can vouch, i drove over the deck to mount it. you have to block the wheels though because it wont want to let the tractor climb over it, it will push away. i used a brick up against the garage lip ang against the nose roller to keep it in place. i mounted the mule drive after i got the tractor onto the deck. for being the first time, it went ok. just wanted to touch back on this and say, yes, it can be done, i did it and nothing even flexed or bent while doing it.

I used a chain hoist for years, just hooked on to the front of the tractor, lifted for clearance and rolled the deck out. Then I'd lower the tractor, move it out of the way and use the hoist to stand the deck up for service. The Haban deck weighs close to 300 pounds, the hoist really helped.

I do have a cement floor in my shop that makes that easier.

A few years back I bought a Harbor Freight electric hoist and hung it a piece of pipe through three rafters, push one button, tractor is in the air!
