My tractor's diesel clatter and rear end noise are so loud I would be lucky to hear any other noise over it.

I have nightmares of the FEL kit loosening and ruining some of the threads in the main housing. This is because I have had several 5/8 bolts loosen on my FEL kit, and even lost one. I replaced it with a grade 8, and tried to find some Belville springs to replace all the split lockwashers. The guy at the hardware store never heard of Belvilles. 200 Lbs-Ft of torque on the split washers made them gape open, but they are holding so far. I learned my lesson! Every time I grease, I do a slow, methodical check on all bolts with impact wrench in hand. I think that impact wrench is like an innoculation against bolts loosening! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Have_blue you can bet that I'll be checking mine at every 50 hour interval from this point forward. I never would have imagined that they would/could work loose so quickly. It made a believer out of me also.

Thanks for this heads up. I went out and checked my nuts and found that 3 out of the 8 were not tight. This is a great example of the value of this board. If we all share our problems, others of us learn. Thanxs,
