You responded to his message that wasn't directed to you, but you are upset that I responded to your message that was not directed to me? Over 9400 posts and you haven't yet figured out the difference between a public post and a private message?

You quibble so much over nonsense. :shhh:

Looks like it has the 'snowmobile' deck like mine with center one-third ribbed steel and the left/right thirds plywood.

The little 4x8 SnowBear is no wider than the Subaru Outback that I tow it with, so little wind resistance on the freeway. And it will slip through any tight spot that the Subaru can go through. Congestion in a parking lot, etc? No problem! Hold my beer and watch this! :D

I originally bought it for the many dump runs when I had 50 years of Dad's yard sale 'treasures' to sort through and dispose of. Now 20 years later, its handy to go into the apple orchard to pick the family trees. And then hitch it to the Subaru to take the fruit home without transferring anything. Other uses are extremely varied.

Picking wild blackberries is a lot easier taking ladders down to the ravine to lay against the jungle. Pic3
Yup, has the metal center. We put a peice of plywood over everything so it has a little more protection.

Only problem I have is i can't see see the trailer behind my 3/4t truck.............

Some of these Sequoias are far older than the Christian era. For some people this creates a sense of awe. Others see toothpicks.

I planted three giant sequoias about 10 years ago up here in Washington State and they are growing well. This year I bought 3 more seedlings, I find they are easy to grow here. Maybe in a future life I will be able to come back and see how large they got.

Count me as one who is in awe of those magnificent trees

Toothpicks smoothpicks, make them out of poplar.

Wow, good tiedowns and good driving for the truck to still be upright, but they really should have backed it on so that it had more tongue weight...

Correction, apparently the white pickup was not the tow vehicle.

And now for a picture of someone towing something wrong.
You certainly can’t fault is tie down methods though.

It’s a call you don’t ever want to get. My nephew who also works for me was involved in a scary bad wreck today. He’s banged and bruised but he’s going to be ok. Thank God for that. He was wearing his seatbelt, thankfully as he rolled the company owned Chevy three or four times. We aren’t quite sure what happened but the trailer started whipping violently and he was unable to control it. But all this can be replaced. Just thankful he’s going to be ok.

Looks like there was a tiller on the 3 point and they really needed to back it on.

Many people don't realize that if you have a trailer brake controller you hit the "energize" button to help in a trailer sway incident. You need to hit it as soon as you see the sway start. Once the trailer goes sideways it's too late. Just another thing to be aware of when towing.

Wow looks like a full failure on the trailer side. Possible there wasn't enough tongue weight, if the rust on the truck is an indication of the trailer, it's possible a trailer axle mount failed.
At this point everything is pure speculation.

I agree with Aaron, not enough tongue weight.

You are assuming he had a brake controller. A lot of idiots running around pulling other peoples trailers with no brakes, even though this trailer had them.

You are correct- stay in gas on tow vehicle, hand brake for the trailer will straighten it right out.

Like other said though, best way is to not CREATE the sway in the first place. TOO LITTLE TONGUE WEIGHT!
