Definitely hauling wrong:

Yahoo News today - Man riding tractor accused of impaling Iowa sheriff's car with bale spear, charged with attempted murder.

Charged the deputy's car and missed, then charged the sheriff's car and impaled the driver's door while the sheriff was in it, then pushed it 100 feet into a field. Craziness! The article is so short on information that it brings up a ton of questions though, first of which is why they didn't put a bullet into him. Small town like that maybe they knew him and showed restraint, or maybe it just happened too fast? Glad the officers weren't hurt though.

Just to go with the poor loading plan..... and to make it interesting please note that only one of the tailgate cables was hooked up. Rear end of vehicle looked like it was setting on the axle, which surprised me. Guess the springs were shot. Was not able to get a side picture of the vehicle pulling onto the highway in front of the box store.

Was not able to get a side picture of the vehicle pulling onto the highway in front of the box store.

Much easier to unload on the tailgate.....
Especially if that one strap breaks at the perfect time!

800 pounds sitting basically on the tail gate would compress the springs even on a 3/4 ton pretty good.

Looks like a half ton truck to me. Also, looks like the owner couldn't care less about his equipment. Nice truck box he has there. Doesn't look like this is the first time he's run a load in the bed that was "less than secure". Can't fix stupid.

I suspect that same truck has seen its share of pallets of concrete block and likely more than ten bags of concrete mix...
Lots of masonry contractors use beater trucks...they are something to send the gopher in for needed materials from HD etc., etc...
