Maybe not as dumb as he looks. Rough estimate that is $600+ of cans if 5 cents deposit each. (I see 25 cans on the face layer of one bag x estimate the bag is twice as tall as it is wide x 10 bags).

If he has an easy source where they're already bagged such as the recycle bins in a bar, that's easy money.

But he's probably trying to avoid collapse of his sunroof.

I say double that estimate. Its like stacking round bales on a waggon. 2 rows side by side for the first 3 layers and a single on top for 19 bags total. Scrap the van while you are there and that's not a bad paycheck lol

Actually looking close one can see she is hanging onto the passenger grab handle... but it is more fun to make fun of the picture.
