That is common in north Alabama during rush hour. Any time the road gets busy people park in the left lane rather than deal with merging and exiting traffic in the right lane.Never figured this out, but if you are driving between Seattle and Tacoma in Washington State the rules are reversed. The fast lane is the Right lane and the slow lane is the Left lane. It is the only place in the US, I've ever seen this as a common convention. Every time I get past Olympia, I have to remind myself that the driving rules are going to get flipped.
Detroit area, Telegraph Rd, I had my 1980 Datsun 4x4 2 L engine. Leaving Square Lake Rd going south me and a Porche 911 take off, I get
to 53 mph, but the Porche nails the line and is waiting for me at the next light. The light is green when I get there and I drive through,
along comes the Porche and passes me and is waiting for me at the next light which turn green when I get there. This goes on for 10 lights.
Oh no! I only had yellow tape for a flag! What’s the problem? He has the red flag on the back.
