"Driver" didn't know anything about the air bags on the trailer or diff lock on tractor !Easy to get it out of there. Pop the linkage off the leveling valve on the tractor rear suspension, hold the lever up so the suspension inflates raising the front of the trailer. drive it back to level ground and reinstall the leveling valve linkage. Even if you had to break the linkage, it would be cheaper to repair than the cost of a tow truck bill. Way back in my driving days, I helped a few guys out that way, two of them that were stuck in RR crossings. If the truck has spring suspension, you'll need a pull.
The guy who has the cattle across the street from us had a buddy play a joke on him. The buddy turned a black sheep loose in his cattle pasture during calving season. One of my customers that has a farm found a horse in their cattle pasture. Figured had to be abandoned there after being unable to find an owner.
Flip flops are mandatory attire for OTR drivers these daysView attachment 3411717
So called "truck driver " was fully equipped with flip flops too !
Yeah, they dont care since its just the driving that they care about. From what I know, there are no DOT regs on footwear? It's up to an employer or in this case the receiving company.
No loose, wearing flip flops I just as soon them limping as continuing to drive.Yeah, they dont care since its just the driving that they care about.
What gets me is freight haulers thinking its appropriate to drag around chains and binders wearing flip flops.
One dropped binder in the right spot, and they would be howling for a while![]()
I had a driver yesterday that I hoped would get the dot English testNo loose, wearing flip flops I just as soon them limping as continuing to drive.
Yeah, some truckers, and I use the term loosely, think they know how to load material better than someone who loads it every day.I had a driver yesterday that I hoped would get the dot English test
I finally loaded the equipment on his trailer where he wanted instead of where I was suggesting to put it. I passed him going down the road a while later and the trailer was so tongue heavy and the truck was just a bouncing. I figured he would have some busted springs by the time he reached Minnesota.
He moved the two PVC septic tanks (500lbs total weight) to the back of his 40ft goose neck trailer, and had my 8,000lb pump put all the way to the front
I wanted to do a 60/40 split over his axles with it![]()
