Thought i'd share this one. When I dint have a truck, I got 5 gallons of gas in a can and was placed on the floor behind the front seat. It had a large fill hole.. anyways someone cut me off in the parking lot, and the can fell over , and spilled about half plus before I realized it... I stopped and stood it upright and all I could do was to drive home with the windows open and the heater on ,using a magazine out the window to suck air in and also I would take breaths out the window and hold it. Then once home I took a chisel and hammer sliced a drain hole in the floor and then ran the water.
then closed windows and bake dried it in the sun..LOL
I bet the insurance company would have written it off.

Excavators are good for towing out someone who is stuck.

I always run a bungee cord through the handles of fuel cans and hook them to the rear of the bed, not so they don't come through the windshield, but so I don't have to climb in the bed to retrieve them from the front. Working smarter not harder. :)

If you haul a bridge on a barge, don't forget to counterweight the barge, too.

Netherlands cranes collapse in Alphen aan den Rijn - BBC News

Bruce

Yup that was big in the news. this week they have started collecting the scrapped cranes. No human beings were hurt, only a dog killed.
The cranes werent tied to the pontoons either, as it seems from the video. And workers speculated that one of the cranes ran through its swing brake when the pontoon started tilting. 1.25 million Euro is deposited by the construction company, the welding company and the crane company in a damage fund, to take care of the immediate needs of the strucken house owners, while the insurance companies fight it out.

The previous owner of my truck used board across the rear load support slots to do that, so I have continued to use it. Everything from groceries to gas cans to bags of chicken feed. Especially with the bed cover rolled down, it keeps from having to crawl under and fetch stuff out so often, or roll and unroll the cover.

For the amount of time he spent strapping that down, he could have laid it on the side and then strapped it once
