Head to haul a brush hog about 40 miles. F250 that it would fit in doesn't have plates or insurance. So had to use my ranger and 4x8 trailer. Towed really good actually and probably over strapped it but road good. Yes I could have dropped the one side fully in the trailer but didn't know how I was going to unload it yet (only by hand or duct lifts) and it was set on the rail via loader so I left it and strapped it so it started. Also was probably over kill but used 2-2in straps and 2-1in straps. 1508675767985.jpg1508675787562.jpg

I'm not entirely sure that belongs here. Ugly, yes, but not really wrong or unsafe. Assuming those sides were beefy enough.

I know what makes people do this but you would think that an inner voice suggests the potential problems and costs could greatly exceed the minor benefit gained.

You are thinking like someone with some experience and assets. A lot of these photos are people just trying to get it done the only way they can. I remember being in high school and trying to tear apart our small crawler tractor without wrenches big enough to do it and was complaining like a typical teen and my Dad said "If I had the right tool for every job I couldn't afford to be in business."

I know times have changed but what have we lost in terms of that "Get R Done" spirit and go for it that made this country?

I know its probably only a 80cc, but I'm still unsure whether a scarf is strong enough :confused3:

You really think it's going to fall OUT ?
No, but it may thrash around a bit damaging the bike and the truck. Why do anything so stupid when you can buy a whole set for straps for $10?

Getting it done with what you have to haul with is one thing. Not tying it down or other wise hauling it in a some what safe manner is what most of the post in here show.

Hit a good bump, and it'll flop out.. Hit the brakes hard (common here due to stupid people, deer and turkeys) and it could still smack that back glass.
