I shot this poor quality video of a newer Cadillac Escalade hauling a porti-potti at 70+mph down the interstate. The potti was blowing backwards in the wind and swinging up and down. Obviously I got around this vehicle before things could get crappy!

Methinks that a strap (or even a rope) from the back of the roofracks to the top part of the portajon could have saved a good deal of wear and tear.

If there isn't an engine, that's probably just about right. If there is an engine, it is probably a little overloaded, but not too much as it appears that there is still space for the wheels to travel another inch or two.

Yea, that truck weighs no more than a 3/4 ton gas truck.

It's the bed that gets them heavy.

rear of truck is squatted a lil bit.. though not bad . i seen guys in f150's with a pallet of sod in back with the overload springs compressed. :)

i think my 450 with air bags mighta done ok..

that truck must have no engine im't thinking?

These trucks are not that heavy. My neighbor has a 76 Ford F 700 with a 391 in it. It has a 8' Monroe dump bed and with driver and full fuel it just at 10,400#.

He also has a 78 GMC C 60 with a 350. It has a 8' dump and a 9' Meyer Snow Plow on the front. It's only 10,000# with driver and full fuel. The plow is a good 800# of that.

I bet the truck pictured even with a motor is only 6500 to 7000# tops
