I was there when this Toyota Tundra towed that space shuttle, it was a beef up pickup truck cable of towing 900 tons, and we didn't use old fashion safety chains, we used invisible tractor beams at a speed of one quarter impulse power.

Aye Scotty, I feel better now, knowing ye were on the job ! :drink:

Here is a truck I saw with the hood about to fall off

This women pulled out of the auto park and went down the street in front of me and her back hatch raised up as she was going down the street. I'm not sure if she knew it did:laughing:

These are both examples of high bypass engine cowlings. Common on commercial jet engines but now making their way on trucks and cars.

Yes it is done to lessen noise for those restricted areas like in the city. LOL

I saw this on I-95 near Bangor, Maine last fall. Innovative use of a stock trailer for a mobile shelter for the mini TBL. However, if the small ratchet strap and the plywood and 2x4 crosspieces are all that's holding the tractor in there, then it needs some improvement. Also, the loader bucket is mighty close to the truck's tailgate to be making any tight turns.

It looks ok to me as long as the driver stays straight and don't go around corners.

He's got it covered.... that ratchet strap is actually a bungee cord - nail the gas just as you go into a corner and the TLB backs off the tailgate a bit !

He would be sooooo busted, driving with that load here.
