Someone mentioned tires hanging off the side, this one has nothing under the tires, body is blocked up from the lowboy.

A lot of heavy equipment is moved like this. There are trailers called "beam trailers" that are like a regular lowboy but don't have the side areas where the tires might sit. Only the center beam, as wide as the portion between the rear wheels.

Agrd.. that's -very- normal, and legal, here.

Reminds me.

In high school we fixed up a 70's model ford pickup for a teacher. He had no budget for replacement parts but dropped bondo off by the gallon. Had 2 1/2 gallons in the drivers door and a gallon above each rear wheel. Seems like another gallon spread out else where. Then painted candy apple red.

I try to minimize the use of Bondo whenever possible. It's just rarely possible. :D

" A gallon of Bondo is cheaper than a new quarter panel".

Or duct tape. ~25 years ago I had a VW rabbit with much rust. Every year at inspection time would replace the rotted off back hatch edge and cover the rocker panels with duct tape then spray paint to match. Then abused it for another year.

Went to the local building supply house. When I pull in they are crawling under a truck. Ok no big deal. Until I realize they are tying 2x8's under it. I'm guessing they bought 20'ers. Only had a 6 ft bed truck. Wife says "Look at my idiot husband. " I just smiled and said whatever works. Must not have an opening back window.

I have heard of people doing that with steel or pipe...
