I calculated an estimate of a little over two tons. Way overloaded. Assumed 3.5 ft x 3.5 ft x 2.9 ft tall, and concrete pavers same as gravel at 3,000 lbs / cu yd. On the other hand for three years now I've gotten away with 2600 lbs (starting weight) on a 900 lb rated HF trailer - and that after it sat unused in a field for a decade or so, rusted bearings etc - but I don't need a highway safety margin in my application. That guy should be fine for a slow cautious trip home with no traffic. If he doesn't pop a tire.
He actually pulled over and started loading some into the back of the Jeep!
