Heh. I once delivered a baby goat in a 35 gallon galvanized trash can, seatbelted onto the passenger seat of my '79 Honda civic station wagon. The rear area, with seat folded down, was occupied by a full-sized clothes dryer. And yes, the hatch closed completely.

The goat didn't seem to mind. He was quiet the whole trip, about an hour.
