Yea, maybe. The piece looks too long to have been supported by the trailer rack - but then maybe half was in the bed of the truck? Or maybe that is two pieces........never mind...lol

I am guessing that it was a stack of them and what we see there was at least 3 pieces (based on the size of the piece on the side of the road).

I took a shelf of ice off the top of a motor home, on edge, into my windshield at 70 mph. It fortunately did not penetrate. Could have been ugly.

Here's a theory. The vehicle seems to have a rear window that retracts or rolls down so the driver lowered the window and ran the long tin into the vehicle passenger compartment. To hold it down. Now, really, who hasn't done something like that at one time or other?
Then the sudden stop for whatever reason caused the unsecured tin to be pushed through the windshield from its resting point on the dash.
