Yeah, it's the finality of "THIS" particular life that troubles me. Attachments and unfinished projects left behind.

Honestly, I am not sure that has been proven.

I see some real idiots with seemingly 1000 lives

The father of my best friend growing up was a trauma surgeon... he had to approve of any vehicle his son rode in and often would simply hand over the keys to his car saying he would sleep better knowing we were better protected...

Let's just say he was not a fan of my Pinto and even less on anything Japanese from the 1960's...

So, we often took his 1970 Eldorado… to away games and even on trips...

In keeping with the dark turn this thread has taken -

Here's a bumper sticker I saw on an ancient and beat up pickup truck in Challenge, a tiny backwoods community in NorCal where logging has moved on, and I expect half the few guys still living there are on disability after losing too many parts in logging accidents:

Very similar to the old phrase "Lifes a Beech, and then you die"

But the word is not really beech.......
